The storied Crown Building has been transformed into Aman New York — the luxury hospitality brand’s flagship hotel and residences. Marking Aman’s first urban residential property, a select offering of 20 private homes sit atop the 85-suite hotel, providing its residents with the ultimate Aman experience in the heart of New York City.

Residents, Aman private club members, and hotel guests will enjoy access to the 25,000-square-foot Aman Spa, featuring a 25-meter swimming pool surrounded by fire pits and daybeds. The Spa facility will also feature state-of-the-art gym facilities, a treatment room, sauna and steam rooms, as well as an outdoor terrace with cabanas, daybeds, and fireplaces.

Aman New York provides culinary experiences from around the world, from Nama, Aman’s interpretation of Japan’s washoku dining tradition, to Arva, the convivial Italian restaurant that features outdoor seating on the wraparound garden terrace overlooking Central Park. Music and entertainment are at the center of this extraordinary property, with options ranging from a subterranean Jazz Club to the Piano Bar, as well as premier social opportunities at the Cigar Bar and the Wine Library.

Aman is focused on the vision of building a collection of intimate retreats with the unassuming, warm hospitality of a gracious private home. Meticulously designed to frame their natural settings, Aman destinations are renowned for space and privacy. Each welcomes guests as if to the home of a close friend, instilling a sense of peace and belonging amid some of the most diverse natural and historical landscapes. It is an approach that has changed little since 1988 when the first retreat was built on Phuket’s west coast. It was named Amanpuri, meaning ‘place of peace’, and Aman was born. Today, Aman embraces 32 resorts and hotels in 20 countries and continues to seek out transformative experiences and awe-inspiring locations around the world with a further eight coming soon, taking the brand to 40 resorts in 22 countries. Many also offer branded residences: secluded sanctuaries that reach far beyond commonplace notions of luxury allowing a select few to make the ‘Aman way of life’ a permanent reality.
