Life at the Top

125 Greenwich Street offers an exclusive chance to see the city from a new perspective: a private sanctuary in the sky. Designed by world-renowned architect Rafael Viñoly and featuring interiors by March & White, 125 Greenwich utilizes its top three floors, totaling in 15,000 square feet, as it’s amenity space, making it possible for all of its residents to live life at the top. A crowning triplex of amenities, 800-feet into the sky, houses dining, entertainment, fitness, 50-foot pool and spa, all with captivating views — extending beyond the city limits.

Each residence is awash with a custom-designed palette to reflect the buyers taste: Aqua, Terra, or Stratus — their subtle, complementary hues borrowed directly from the surrounding neighborhood’s elements. Continuous, full-height, floor-to-ceiling curtain walls provide maximum visibility and clarity, while custom kitchens and baths are replete with bespoke surfaces and fittings carefully selected for each palette, along with expanses of Calacatta Covelano marble, stone, and polished nickel.

“What makes a piece of architecture into something significant in terms of its artistic value is something very difficult to define, but that everybody knows one way or another which is the way the proportions work.”

A “life at the top” experience, providing all residents the ability to enjoy penthouse living.

With a vision of developing a client-centered residential building in Manhattan’s Financial District, SHVO, together with partners including equity partner Cindat and United Overseas Bank as a lender, purchased the site of the old American Stock Exchange, just across from Memorial Park, in order to bring this vision to life.

Mr. Shvo’s concept for the property was to create a “life at the top” experience for all residents, providing all residents the ability to enjoy penthouse living. With this goal in mind, SHVO hired Architect Rafael Viñoly and interior design firm March & White and guided them with precision to create the triplex amenity space at the top of the building and an unconventional unit mix, including mostly studios and one-bedroom residences.

The selection of March & White as interior designers was a result of a vigorous search by SHVO, in order to discover new talent that has experience in meticulously designing finished small spaces. SHVO discovered the London-based design studio that has quickly amassed a global clientele while designing super-yachts, private jets, luxury hotels, restaurants, and condominiums and has built a formidable reputation for elegance with an edge.

The SHVO-designed sales office at the top of One World Trade center is strategically located to emulate the height of the building’s amenity space and provide a glimpse into the luxuries of “life at the top.”

Since 2015, SHVO, together with its partners, oversaw the construction activities of the 90-story glass tower, performed by Times Square & Plaza.

Throughout the development process, SHVO’s capital markets team secured the project’s acquisition loan, mezzanine debt, preferred equity, and construction loan, for a total of over $700 million. In 2018, SHVO sold its interest in the development to equity partner Cindat.

The People’s Penthouse

At 125 Greenwich, an 88-story condo tower in the financial district designed by Rafael Viñoly — the same architect who designed 432 Park, one of the priciest apartment buildings in New York — all three of the top floors will be dedicated to amenities.
